Mazars is delighted to introduce you the latest booklet by CEEC: Doing Business in Vietnam which provides investors with information about the Vietnamese market and its most potential sectors, together with a general overview about CEEC with contacts info for companies when needing support from the Chamber.
For this publication, Mazars Vietnam supported CEEC as a co-author of the technical sections on financial, tax and legal regulations.
The demand on doing business with Vietnamese companies in the EU and in Vietnam, as the investing in the country is on the rise in Central and Eastern European countries thanks to the historical relations, the acknowledged rise of the Vietnamese (and ASEAN) economy and the coming EUVFTA as well as Central and Eastern European Governments’ Vietnam focused business supporting actions and programs. CEEC is playing a crucial rule in channeling the needs and proposal towards the Vietnamese business by having strong relations towards the homeland Governments as well as the Vietnamese decision makers. On February 28th, 2019, the State Bank of Vietnam promulgated Circular No. 02/2019/TT-NHNN (“Circular 02”) amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 23/2014/TT-NHNN dated August 19th, 2014 on guidelines for opening and use of payment accounts at payment services providers (“Circular 23”). Circular 02 took effect from March 1st, 2019 and abrogated Circular No. 32/2016/TT-NHNN and Circular No. 02/2018/TT-NHNN of the State Bank. Circular 02 has some noteworthy points as follows:
